Prostate infection is the inflammation of the prostate. The prostate is located between the bladder and the penis it is in charge of making the fluid that contains the sperms. It is almost the size of a walnut, and it affects both the young and old. Some people may experience no symptoms why others may experience symptoms accompanied by intense pain.
Types of prostatitis
There are four types of prostatitis:
Acute bacterial prostatitis: This is the easiest type to diagnose and it may last only for a short while, but it can also be life-threatening if untreated.
Chronic bacterial prostatitis: This type of prostate develops as the years goes by, the symptoms are not too vivid. This infection mostly affects the young and middle-aged grade. It can also lead to other urinary tract infections.

Asymptomatic inflammatory prostatitis: This is the inflammation of the prostate, but it comes with no symptoms.
Symptoms of a prostate infection
The symptoms of prostate infection depend on the type of infection.
Acute bacterial prostatitis
The symptoms of acute bacterial prostatitis usually occur quickly, you should seek your oncologist’s assistance soonest.

 Chronic bacterial prostatitis

 Chronic prostatitis
The symptoms of chronic prostatitis are almost the same with the chronic bacterial prostatitis, but this type comes with pain and discomfort with may last for months.
